Volunteer Projects

Revised: 6/9/2016

With summer just about here, we’ll need to start our annual spring servicing on the lower pump and weir for our summer and fall water supplies. We can use a hand or two to clean out the weir, (an hour of shoveling) as well as some tidying up and troubleshooting as needed.

The walk to the lower pump is clear, (no trees or landslides this year, yeah!).  It should take about 15 minutes to hike down to the site, maybe twice that to get back out and maybe an hour or so in the canyon. So about 2.5 hours door to door.
Ideally we could use two people, but will not refuse one willing person.  The best times are after 5 p.m. weekdays and weekends.  Gloves and boots are strongly recommended. Good humor is a plus.
